The PSITE National Convention 2026, with the theme “PSITE 2.0: Augmenting Education, Connecting Community, and Thriving with AI,” was successfully held at The Marison Hotel, Legazpi City, Albay on March 26–28, 2026. The event was attended by three faculty members from the IT Department: Jay Cantonjos, Diomel Canuto, and Emarve Gito. The first day commenced with the Opening Ceremony, which included the invocation, singing of the national anthem, and welcome message from Dr. Chuchi S. Montenegro, PSITE National President. This was followed by the opening remarks of Dr. Sheila Geronimo, Convention Chair, and an overview presented by Prof. Marneil Allen G. Sanchez, Regional President. A highlight of the day was the Keynote Address delivered by Dr. Ethel Agnes Pascua-Valenzuela, Chairperson of the ASEAN AI Council, focusing on strategies and policies for AI integration in Southeast Asian education. The convention also featured insightful plenary sessions, including discussions on transforming campus operations by Mr. Reymar Aguilar and creative technologies in the age of AI by Mr. Titu Minhas. A technology talk by Mr. Breyvan Tan emphasized the importance of industry-aligned AI and cybersecurity certifications for future-ready graduates. Governance sessions were also conducted, presenting updates on the PSITE Constitution and By-Laws, as well as election guidelines. The day concluded with a Fellowship Dinner hosted by the City Government of Legazpi, fostering camaraderie among participants. The convention provided valuable insights on integrating AI in education, strengthening academic systems, and preparing students for the demands of the digital age.
ICITE 2025 Conference carried forward the energy, curiosity, and collaborative spirit that defined the event’s theme “Global Synergy in IT Education: Advancing Research Innovation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” Held at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH), the second day brought together a powerful mix of scholars, educators, innovators, and students from various State Universities and Colleges, both private and public. The atmosphere inside the breakout rooms and presentation halls was nothing short of inspiring. The day was dedicated to a series of parallel paper presentations touching on diverse areas of study like Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information Systems. Each presentation showcased a unique perspective and solution, shaped by the needs of the presenters’ institutions and communities. Seeing fellow researchers bravely share their work on an international platform highlighted the universal drive to push boundaries and improve the world through technology. What made the experience truly meaningful was the rich exchange of ideas. Participants did not simply present as they engaged, questioned, encouraged, and learned from one another. As each topic unfolded, from cybersecurity innovations to system implementation studies and AI-driven solutions, it became evident that we were all part of a larger collective movement toward responsible, future-ready research. Standing among professionals, educators, and students who are equally passionate about IT felt overwhelming in the best possible way. It reminded us how big the world truly is and how important it is to step outside our comfort zones and bring our local innovations to the global stage. The privilege of witnessing research from different cultures and institutions broadened our appreciation for diversity in the field of technology. We are deeply grateful to Veritas College of Irosin (VCI) for giving us this opportunity. Their support in allowing and approving the three of us to attend ensured that we could cover all the major tracks represented in the conference. It was an honor not only to learn but to represent our institution in an academic gathering as prestigious as ICITE.
